My name is Tammie White and I am the elementary school counselor.  It is hard to believe that the 2022-23 school year is my 12th year serving as a school counselor for Santa Rosa County.  It's even harder to believe that I have worked for Santa Rosa County since 1995!  I was an elementary school teacher, happily teaching our intermediate students. Much of my spare time is spent with family and friends traveling, crafting and enjoying the Florida sunshine.

I love being our school counselor and enjoy my interactions with students, staff, and parents.  My responsibilities include individual and group counseling, coordinating standardized testing for K-5, writing and reviewing 504 Plans, serving on the behavior and academic MTSS teams, and dealing with situations that arise throughout the school day.  When children ask what a counselor does, I always say that my job is to make sure that students are happy, healthy and smiling at school and that I have the best job in the world.
